Celebrating this New Years Eve in Sequins, Feathers and Fur!

Christmas is over but there is still so much to celebrate! I love starting off the New Year with new resolutions and goals! Yes I'm one of "those" people who vow to never eat sugar again and two hours later I have my face stuffed in a sugar cookie! Hey at least I try! ;) I also love New Year's Eve because I feel it's one of those times you really get to dress up as fancy as you feel! I say go big or go home! I always like to start the new year off with a bang and of course my main man Michael Kors is just the guy to help me do that! I love this sequin and feather dress and AMAZING shoes from MK! The second I put them on I just feel fun and flirty and ready for the night! So bring on 2014! I'm totally ready to not eat sugar for two hours! Ha! Happy New Years everyone! Hope you all start your year off looking and feeling fabulous!

Holiday ready...

Is Christmas seriously less than a week away? Yikes!!! I wish I could say I have everyones presents picked out, purchased and wrapped pretty under the tree but once again I have waited until the last minute. At least I can say I'm holiday ready when it comes to my wardrobe! Parties come before presents so I prioritized! :) I love the holidays because it's the perfect time to bump up the fun factor for all those get togethers with family and friends. I've totally been obsessed with fur lately...I just can't get enough! Add in some sparkle, pops of red and big hair and this girl is ready to go! Don't worry I will still have time to Christmas shop with this crazy cool new invention called online shopping!;) I think it was invented for procrastinators and night owls like myself! I love it because I can't still get everything done but not miss a single moment with all the lovies of my life! Hope you all have a festive fun filled weekend!

my favorite tradition

Hello friends! Hope everyone is having a happy Tuesday and that you all had a fun filled weekend! I spent the weekend at my parents ranch. It was a white winter wonderland! I love heading down there, especially during the holiday months. I have so many fun memories there and we are always making new ones. Nobody wanted to go out into the bitter cold so watching movies by the fire, playing games and making our favorite family treats pretty much filled up the weekend. (I braved it outside for a bit for these pictures and I'm telling you it was freaking freezing!)

One of MY favorite traditions is sneaking into my mamas amazing closet searching for a fabulous find that I can "borrow." Lucky for me we are the same size in clothes and shoes! My mom might not be as excited about this fact since I get weekly messages telling me to return what I've borrowed or I'm dead! I just tell her it's tradition! We can't stop traditions...that would just be wrong!;) Seriously though my mom has always had such amazing style. She has always been an inspiration to me. I found this fabulous Vintage Ralph Lauren Cape in her closet and literally couldn't take it off all weekend. It was so comfy and cozy to wrap up in. I will return it shortly...I just need to wear it a little longer! Let the tradition continue!

The holidays are here!

It's a white winter wonderland here in Utah! Sooooo pretty but sooooo dang cold! Sweaters are one of my winter wardrobe staples. So I thought I would take a hint from mother nature and a little break from my typical holiday dress. I revamped this cream cropped sweater to wear to one of my holiday get togethers. I dolled up this sweater with a cream and gold speckled skirt, pumps and some gold and pearl jewelry. A bright red lip and clutch gives this outfit the perfect holiday pop it needs! Honestly, you really don't need to go out and buy yourself a new dress for every holiday party and get together. Look in your closet and see what you can transform into the perfect holiday look! It's seriously kind of fun...I promise!

Roughing it Ranch Style

I love dressing up for the holidays! Nothing makes me more happy than sparkle, gold and girly dresses.  But this year I'm headed down to my parents Ranch for Turkey Day. So, while I will be glitzy and glam for our Thanksgiving dinner (pictures to come) the rest of the time I will be roughing it ranch style with my adorable nieces and nephews. Beanies, boots, jeans and jackets are a must for feeling comfy and keeping up with the kids!

I am obsessed with this Vince Camuto jacket! In my experience, when wearing puffy coats I feel...how shall I say this? PUFFY!!! With this jackets cinched belt the puff is nowhere in site (until Thanksgiving dinner starts) even so, with the elbow patching, leather and gold details I feel nothing but Country Chic and most importantly staying warm in style!! Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!

My crush on Cabo continues (part two)

Here are some more of my Cabo looks, beach adventures and pictures of Cabo Azul Resort & Spa where I stayed. The interior decorating and design of the rooms and hotel are like nothing I've ever seen in all my stays in Mexico! I have always loved wearing black & white. I don't know if I like wearing it or decorating with it more? Decisions are hard. Let's just call it a tie!

Forever 21 Skort for less than $10! Deals make me happy! :)

While walking on the beach we ran into a baby sea turtle hatchling and migration! I seriously felt like I was on Animal Planet! It was so amazing! I wanted to take one of those babies home with me. So cute!

These sequin shorts were another Forever 21 find under $10!!

Love how this coffee table pops against all the black & white. I also love all the the amazing deals I got on my looks for this trip! All the money I saved on my outfits I can put towards coming back to this paradise! Until next time Cabo....
